Installation of poly V-belt for 1.6-/1.8-I engines (VW Golf 4)

1. Install the poly V-belt on the engine pulleys. When reinstalling the belt, install it in accordance with the previously applied arrows.

2. Using a wrench, turn the poly V-belt tensioner counterclockwise and remove the mandrel or drill shank that secures the tensioner.

3. Release the wrench, causing the tensioning mechanism to automatically tension the poly V-belt.

4. Start the engine and check the operation of the belt.
