Removal the poly V-belt of 2.3-I engines (VW Golf 4)

1. Remove the lower engine compartment splash shield.

2. If the belt is to be reinstalled, use a marker or paint to mark the direction of belt rotation.



3. Loosen the tension of the poly V-belt. To do this, use a 16 mm spanner and turn the belt tensioner counterclockwise.



4. In this position, fix the V-belt tensioning mechanism with a 6 mm diameter mandrel.

5. Remove the poly V-belt.
