The toe-in is adjusted on the right tie rod in exactly the same way as if it were an adjustable or non-adjustable tie rod on the left side.
Toe-in is measured in the usual way. and attention should be paid to whether the values are indicated in degrees, minutes or in millimeters. The wheels must be free and therefore must not «be pressed».
For vehicles of all models described in this book, the toe-in of the front wheels, measured in millimeters, is 0±1 mm.
If the convergence has changed, then it is established that the steering wheel spokes do not stand horizontally for a long time. This indicates that only one tie rod has been adjusted, if this is the case, then the steering wheel upholstery is pulled together by hand, the steering wheel is removed and the setting is again done with a pole for driving in a straight line. The steering wheel nut is tightened with a tightening torque of 50 Nm. the same tightening torque is valid for the tie rod joint locknut. If the cuff of the steering mechanism is turned, then by compressing loosen the wire ring, turn the cuff and release this ring again. Check that the wire ring holds the cuff evenly around the circumference so that it does not come off again.
