The design of the front axle of a new car "Golf" does not involve setting the camber. However, if it is nevertheless determined that the camber is no longer at the original values and the front axle is not bent in any way, then the camber must be set in a workshop, since a newly developed tool is used for such an installation. The camber is adjusted by means of a bolted connection between the suspension strut and the steering knuckle (wheel bearing housing). For this reason, it is extremely important to accurately mark the installation position of both bolts before loosening the bolted connection.
Camber is measured in the usual way. If the camber is not within the values shown in the table, or if the difference between the left and right sides is more than 30 minutes, then the above correction must be made.
