Following are a few guidelines to be followed during motor assembly:
- Before installing each node, make sure that it is absolutely clean.
- Lubricate all rotating parts with a thin layer of engine oil. It is especially important to generously lubricate the pistons, piston rings and cylinder bore.
- If the engine has been completely disassembled, then all the cavities of the cylinder block should be cleaned. In case of partial dismantling of the engine, pay attention that no foreign objects or particles get inside. This can be achieved by carefully plugging all openings during disassembly.
- The channels and holes for the oil supply are best blown with compressed air. If compressed air is not available, the oil passages and holes can be carefully cleaned with a wood or plastic rod, not metal wire. Oil seals, seals and gaskets must always be replaced with new ones.
IN tab. 3 the maximum allowable wear values for most moving parts of the engine are given. If there is a suspicion that soon the parameters of any node or part will approach the maximum allowable, they should be replaced in order to avoid re-disassembly in the near future.
