A strobe is required for verification.
Check temperature sensor.
Connect a stroboscope in accordance with its instruction manual and a tachometer.
Leave the engine to idle.
Disconnect the temperature sensor connector.
Raise the engine speed to 2300 rpm. The moment of ignition must correspond to the data in Table. eleven. «lead angle (moment) ignition». Connect the temperature sensor connector.
Recheck the ignition timing at an engine speed of 2300 rpm. Its value should differ from the previous one by 3.0°±3.0°; if the ignition timing differs only within 2.0°± 3.0°, then the knock sensor is faulty.
Turn off the engine.
Check knock sensor tightening torque (same as VEZ system), tighten if necessary.
Check the contacts at the wire connections. Start the engine and repeat the ignition timing test again.
