Adjustment using a special device
Remove the distributor cap, rotor, and sealing washer.
Connect the device for measuring the UZSK according to the operating instructions. Slightly loosen the screw fastenings of the breaker contacts. Turn on the starter (assistant, gearbox in neutral). When the starter is running, change the distance between the contacts with a screwdriver until the specified values on the instrument scale are reached. When adjusting the gap with a screwdriver, the lower contact of the breaker slowly moves.
Tighten the breaker contact lock screw and check whether the UZSK adjustment has been lost.
Assemble the ignition distributor and check the adjustment of the ignition timing control valve again with the engine running.

Adjusting the UZSK breaker using a set of feeler gauges
If there is no special device for measuring the closing angle, you can temporarily adjust the closing angle of the breaker contacts using a set of probes. After that, at the earliest opportunity, you must perform the adjustment using a special device.
Remove the distributor cap, rotor, and sealing washer.
Turn the crankshaft by the crankshaft pulley until the distributor shaft cam opens the breaker contact to its full height and the plastic slider is in contact with the highest point of the shaft cam. The distributor shaft can be turned by briefly engaging the starter. After this, slightly loosen the breaker contact fastening and press the contact with a screwdriver in the direction of the distributor shaft. Tighten the breaker contact fastening.
With the contact open, measure the distance between the contacts with a 0.4 mm feeler gauge. With the distance adjusted correctly, the feeler gauge should fit tightly between the contacts. With burnt contacts, measure only along the edge - in the middle, the distance would be increased due to erosion protrusions and depressions.
If the distance between the contacts is too large or too small, slightly loosen the breaker contact lock screw. Move the bottom of the breaker contact with a screwdriver until the probe can easily pass between the contacts.
Tighten the breaker contact lock screw.
Turn the crankshaft and thus the distributor shaft until the breaker contact is completely open; check again and, if necessary, adjust the distance between the contacts.
Place the sealing washer, rotor and cover on the distributor.
Adjust the ignition timing.
