The ignition system consists of:
- ignition coils;
- ignition distributor with a breaker and an automatic ignition timing regulator;
- spark plugs.
Battery voltage in the ignition coil (12 V) converted to high voltage (15.000-20.000 V).
The task of the distributor is to supply the high voltage induced by the ignition coil at the right time to the appropriate spark plug. In this case, a spark jumps between the electrodes of this candle, which ignites the fuel-air mixture in the cylinder.
