Removal



Remove the V-belt.

Remove the carburetor (see section "Removal and installation the carburetor").

Loosen the bolt at the bottom right of the fan shroud.

Remove 4 screws on the fan cover.

Loosen the alternator band clamp.

Press the fan housing firmly with a crowbar and remove the generator.

Remove the fan and its cover.

Installation



Connect the generator to the fan covers and the stiffening flange so that the cooled air inlet slot (see arrow) the inner cover was directed downwards when installed into the fan housing.

Check the distance from the fan impeller to its cover. If necessary, install spacer washers between…


Check the distance from the fan impeller to its cover. If necessary, install spacer washers between the hub and the impeller. Place the remaining washers between the spring washer and the fan. The distance "a" should be approximately 1.8 mm.

Caution! When assembling the generator and fan, ensure that the spring washer is installed with the convex side facing the nut.


Insert the generator and secure it with four bolts to the fan shroud.

Carefully tighten the bolt at the bottom right of the fan shroud.

Install and tension the V-belt.

Install the carburetor.

If the generator bracket was removed, make sure that the «TOP» marking on the oil deflector shield…
