Removing
Remove V-belt.
Remove carburetor (see section "Removal and installation of the carburetor").
Loosen the screw at the bottom right of the fan cowl.
Loosen the 4 screws on the fan cover.
Loosen the alternator band clamp.
Firmly press the fan housing with a pry bar and remove the generator.
Remove the fan and its cover.
Installation
Connect the generator to the fan covers and stiffener flange so that the cooled air inlet (see arrow) of the inner cover when installed in the fan housing was directed downwards.
Check the distance from the fan impeller to its cover. If necessary, install spacers between the hub and the impeller. Lay the remaining washers between the spring washer and the fan. Distance "A" should be approximately 1.8 mm.
Attention! When assembling the generator and fan, make sure that the spring washer is installed with the convex side to the nut.
Insert the alternator and fix it with four bolts on the fan casing.
Carefully tighten the screw at the bottom right of the fan cowl.
Install and tighten the V-belt.
Install carburetor.
If the alternator bracket was removed, make sure that the marking "TOR" on the oil deflector was at the top and was directed to the cylinder head.
