Loosen the ignition distributor mounting bolts and remove the ignition distributor.

Installation

The ignition distributor mount is eccentric, which ensures that the ignition distributor can be installed in only one possible position (correct) position.

Proceed with the installation as follows:
  • Install the ignition distributor with a new gasket and slowly rotate the distributor shaft until it engages with the camshaft. Lightly tighten the distributor mounting bolts.
  • Place the combustion distributor sealing washer and runner on. Rotate the runner slightly when installing it so that it snaps into the locking groove.
  • Before installing the distributor cap, check it for cracks. Check the degree of wear of the contacts. Clean the contacts and the cap.
  • Check the degree of wear and mobility of the carbon contact and spring.
  • Install the ignition distributor cap. There is a mark on the ignition distributor housing. When putting the ignition distributor cap on, the ignition wire of cylinder 1 is located above the mark in the ignition distributor cap. Next, in the direction of rotation of the ignition distributor striker, there are ignition wires of cylinders 3-4-2.
  • Connect the ground wire to the battery.
  • Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum box on the ignition distributor.
  • Adjust the ignition timing.
