To correctly install the cylinder head, it is necessary to screw two installation pins into the holes shown in Figure 60 (into holes 8, 10 in the bolt tightening diagram - see figure 38). If you don't have such pins (number 3070), then you can use two pins. On one end of the pin you need to cut (for example, with a hacksaw for metal) slot for a screwdriver.

Install the cylinder head onto the engine block.
Screw in the remaining 8 cylinder head mounting bolts by hand. Use a screwdriver to remove both mounting pins (or hairpins) and screw the bolts in their place.
Proceed to tighten the head bolts in the sequence shown below (see figure 38). We remind you that this operation requires a special multi-sided socket wrench, using another tool will damage the bolt heads. Tighten as follows:
- Initially tighten all bolts to 40 Nm.
- Repeat tightening in the same order, but with a torque of 60 Nm.
- In the last phase, in the same sequence, tighten each bolt by half a turn of the wrench (or twice a quarter turn).
- The bolts must not be tightened after the vehicle has been test driven.
