At the tie rod end pivots, unscrew the nuts and use a puller to disconnect the pivot pins from the steering knuckle arm. Turn away nuts of fastening of both brackets to a body. If you need to replace the bolts, knock them out from top to bottom.
Remove the drive shaft. Remove the steering gear housing from the studs.
Remove the mechanism through the hole in the wheel arch.
During installation, insert the mechanism through the hole in the right wheel arch. Attach the drive shaft.
Put the crankcase on the studs, align the rubber pads and put on the clamps. After screwing on the new nuts of the clamps, tighten them diagonally with a torque of 30 Nm.
Tighten the crankshaft clamping bolt to 30 Nm.
Attach the tie rod ends to the steering knuckles. After installing the steering mechanism, check and, if necessary, adjust the clearance in the engagement of the gear and rack (see below).
