2. Block the flywheel to prevent it from rotating, loosen and then unscrew the bolts securing the flywheel to the clutch pressure plate (photo 5.3)
Remove the flywheel and clutch disc. Pay attention to which side of the disc is adjacent to the clutch pressure plate, mark the relative position of the flywheel and the pressure plate, despite the fact that the centering pins ensure the correct position of the TDC marking on the flywheel.
3. If the disc surface is damaged, it must be replaced. It is necessary to pay attention to the exact location of the ends of the spring ring 10 (the ring must then be secured in the same way) (figure 5.2).
Lift the ring with a screwdriver and remove the release disk. The clutch pressure is secured to the crankshaft journal with 6 bolts that are coated with a means to prevent loosening. It will be difficult to loosen them, as they are clamped with a high torque. These bolts must be replaced with new ones (photo 5.6).
Assembly
4. Assembly is performed in the reverse order of disassembly. When fastening the clutch pressure to the crankshaft journal, it is necessary to use new bolts and a blocking substance. Tighten the bolts to the torque specified in the technical data. It is necessary to note that these values vary depending on the type of bolts.
5. Ensure that the spring ring 10 is installed correctly. It is necessary to pay attention to the fact that oil or grease does not get on the surface of the pressure ring and the clutch disc. When installing a new pressure ring, it is necessary to wipe off the protective layers from the friction surface
6. Lubricate the splines of the clutch disc hub with graphite grease.
7. Place the flywheel on the pressure plate. Insert the fastening bolts and tighten them by hand.
8. The next operation is centering the clutch disc. If the clutch disc is not centered accurately, the clutch shaft will not fit into the splines of the clutch disc and problems will arise with the connection of the engine and gearbox. A special tool is used for centering, but if you do not have one, you can use a caliper. After accurately centering the clutch disc, you need to tighten the mounting bolts crosswise to a certain torque.
9. When installing the gear, lubricate the end of the clutch release pusher 13 near the release disk 9 with lithium grease (figure 5.2).
