Pic. 5.4. External clutch release system - 084
1 - gearbox housing; 2 - tightening spring; 3 - switching off lever; 4 - clutch cable; 5 - clutch pedal arm; 6 - the end of the metal protection of the cable; 7 - fixing washer; 8 - pass; 9 - pedal stroke limiters; 10 - body of the kingpin of the pedal; 11 - king pin storage; 12 - tin partition of the engine; 13 clutch pedal; 14 - cable bracket; 15 - centering sleeve; 16 - locknut; 17 - adjusting nut; 18 - place for adjusting the length of the cable.
2. Turn the release lever shaft 3 so that the release bearing 7 moves up the guide sleeve, then unfasten the two spring rings 5 from the release forks and remove the bearing.
3. Pay attention to how the springs and clips are fixed, then remove the clips from the release bearing.
4. Rotate the bearing by hand and check the uniformity of its operation, then try to move the outer track relative to the inner one. If the bearing is running with jamming noise or large clearances, the bearing must be replaced.
Do not wash the bearing if it is still in use, as the grease inside will then be washed out.
5. When using a spanner, unscrew and remove the guide sleeve from the clutch housing.
6. Using a narrow rod, knock out the outer bearing bush 2 of the release lever shaft 3 from the clutch housing (see fig. 5.7).
Pic. 5.7. Internal clutch release
1 - return spring; 2 - outer sleeve; 3 - shaft of the switching lever; 4 - inner sleeve; 5 - spring ring, 6 - clamp; 7 - release bearing; 8 - a bolt with a long socket; 9 - release bearing guide sleeve.
7. Remove the shaft from the inner bearing 4, then remove the shaft and shoulder from the housing.
8. Check for wear on the surface of the bearing bushes and check that the guide bush is not worn too much. The bearing inner sleeve can be knocked out with a soft metal stud. The new one must be driven in so that it is flush with the edge of the socket in the bearing housing.
Assembly
9. Assembly takes place in the reverse order of disassembly. Bearing surfaces must be lubricated. Check if the release shaft bearing sleeve is correctly installed (the tooth of the cover must be inserted into the cutout of the clutch housing).
