The following paragraphs describe the system and its various components, as well as the work that can be done to check individual parts, but do not describe how to remove and repair the components, as repair is not possible.
The system measures the amount of air entering the engine and determines the amount of fuel needed to mix with this air to obtain the normal combustible mixture composition corresponding to the given engine operating conditions. Fuel is sprayed continuously through the injector nozzle into the inlet of each cylinder. The fuel and air mixture is sucked into the cylinder when the inlet valves open.
