Caution! When working in the engine compartment, always turn the ignition key to the "Aus" (off) position, as the fan may turn on at high coolant temperatures.
Antifreeze
The car's cooling system is filled with antifreeze at the factory. Volkswagen recommends antifreeze "G11" or Ford Motorcraft Super 4. If you dilute the antifreeze, you must maintain certain proportions between the antifreeze and water.
