First you need to check the oil level in the gearbox.
If there is a howling noise in a gear and the sound changes when the accelerator pedal is pressed and when the "gas", this means that the gear connection of the corresponding pair of gears is worn out.
Noise appearing in all gears indicates wear in the main gear or in the bearings of the gearbox shafts.
Hoarse, crushing noises that can only be heard in a warm gearbox indicate that the timing rings are damaged.
Directions. Workshops only in rare cases dare to overhaul the gearbox. They advise to completely replace the entire unit. In most cases, it is cheaper to install a used gearbox. At the same time, pay attention to the fact that it has the correct characteristics (see chapter "Technical data"). An abbreviated letter is stamped on the gearbox housing, in addition, the date of manufacture (day, month). As for the year, only the last digits are indicated. The designation for the gearbox can be found on the side, on the left, under the drive shaft or at the bottom, in the middle of the support flange, near the engine.
