External hinge: unfold a large bandage for a still whole cover, remove the protective sheath.
If the cover is damaged, remove it completely.

Put on a cover.
Insert a new retaining ring into the groove of the axle shaft: then hit the hinge with a plastic hammer until the retaining ring is fixed.
90 g of MoS2 grease is introduced into the new hinge under the boot; the hinge already in use is lubricated additionally.
Securely fix the cuff clamps.
Internal hinge: tap gently with a hammer and punch to separate the sheet safety cover (with reinforced cuff) from cardan. It is necessary to put a punch in several places around the hinge.
At the end of the shaft, use two screwdrivers to remove the hinge safety ring from the groove.
Disconnect the joint from the shaft by hitting it with a hammer.
Disconnect the belleville spring from the axle shaft.
Unbend the clamping bracket of the cover or cut it with a cutting tool; remove cover.
Install a new cover. Fix the clamp securely.
Install the Belleville spring so that its larger diameter is directed towards the hinge.
Tap on the hinge to ensure it fits in the prescribed place; install the safety ring.
On each side, inject 45 g of MoS2 grease into the new hinge under the boot. If the hinge has already been used, lubricate it additionally.
Put on the protective cover of the cuff; tap lightly with a hammer if necessary.
Instruction. Half shafts with 4 notches. made before January 1980 from solid material, have a Belleville spring without internal teeth. For a newer version (designation: 5 notches at both ends) There is a Belleville spring with internal teeth.
