In order to feel as little as possible the effect of various forces on the steering wheel when driving and controlling the car, the axle joints must transmit forces very evenly at any wheel position. The main gear has a so-called movable joint. The wheel has a fixed joint. Thanks to these joints, the transmission of rotation from the main gear and the correct response to steering wheel actions at any suspension position and steering wheel rotation are ensured.
Design of axle shafts
If replacement is required, half shafts can be purchased. Note: the left shaft is shorter than the right, namely 145.5 mm and 658 mm. When reinstalling the half shaft, you will need a new flange nut for the wheel hub.
