Slippage (slippage) in clutch
- Apply the handbrake, start the engine.
- Engage 3rd gear, slowly engage the clutch, depress the accelerator pedal.
- If the handbrake is perfect, the engine should stop.
- If the engine continues to run, the clutch pedal free play should be checked and adjusted if necessary.
- Repeat test. If the engine continues to run, it is urgent to change the clutch assembly.
Is the clutch working properly?
If the shifting process is accompanied by noise, this means that the clutch is not working properly. To make sure that this noise is not from the gearbox, check using an unsynchronized reverse gear.
- Let the engine run at idle. I Fully depress the clutch pedal, wait about 3 seconds, then engage reverse.
- If noise is heard at the same time, then the clutch assembly is not working well enough "leads", therefore, the drive disk does not rotate freely.
- Check clutch pedal free play.
- Check again. If noise continues, see table "Clutch faults".
