Remove the camshaft timing belt pulley.
Number the camshaft bearing caps with chalk (for later assembly).
Remove bearing caps 1, 3 and 5.
Unscrew bearing cap nuts 2 and 1 one by one.
Pull out the camshaft.
Lubricate all working surfaces with oil before assembly.
Insert the camshaft so that the cams of cylinder 1 point upwards.
Install bearing caps 2 and 4 first.
Attention: the bearing lubrication hole is not in the middle. Therefore, consider the installation position.
The nuts should be tightened one by one with a tightening torque of 20 Nm.
Next, install bearing caps 5, 1 and 3.
Drive the 5th bearing cap onto the face of the camshaft using light blows with a hammer.
Set thermal gap.
To remove the camshaft, bearing caps 1, 3 and 5 are first removed. Then caps 2 and 4 are removed in turn.
