- Rear crankshaft oil seal near the flywheel. Oil leaks at the junction between the engine and gearbox.
- The front crankshaft oil seal is visible on the right in the direction of the camshaft or intermediate shaft. Oil exits in the area of the timing belt cover from:
- Valve cover gaskets.
- Crankcase gaskets.
- Oil pressure sensor (replace if necessary).
- The cuff under the lever near the fuel pump may be leaking diesel fuel.
Localization of leak locations
If problems related to leaks occur (oil leak), it is recommended that as a first step a thorough engine wash be performed. If large oil leaks are detected, then after just a few kilometers of driving it is possible to determine exactly where the oil came from.
