Use a felt-tip pen to number the cup pushers so that they can be reinserted into the same guides during installation.
Remove the pushers in an upward direction.
To replace the valve stem seal (2) with the cylinder head removed, remove the cup tappets and valve springs to access the valve guide (1). The seal can be removed with a hex head (3), as it fits snugly on the flange of the valve stem seal.
