Raise the car onto supports.
Remove the plastic plug from the inside of the corresponding wheel at the front of the support sheet.
Use a flashlight to illuminate the inspection hole and determine the thickness of the lining.
All values given below in the text are minimum values (together with the support pad).
Riveted brake pads have a straight brake shoe (L), while glued brake pads have a shoe with a protrusion (B)
Riveted pads have a straight block. If the pads are pressed on, then the pad support has a protrusion (see picture).
- The thickness of the riveted overlay is 5.0 mm.
- The thickness of the pressed overlay is 3.5 mm.
