Raise the car on stands.
Take out the wheel bearing.
For cars built before August 1978: Turn the adjusting nut to bring the brake pads back.
Drum brake for pre-August 1978 models: 1 - expanding rod; 2 - flat spring; 3 - coupling spring; 4 - hand brake rod; 5 - fixing spring; 6 brake shoe with lining; 7 - adjusting toothed nut; 8 - wheel brake cylinder
For vehicles manufactured in August 1978: unscrew the wheel bolt.
Rotate the disc or brake drum in such a way that the hole for the wheel bolt is at the front at the top when viewed in the direction of travel.
Move the adjusting wedge upwards through the threaded hole with a screwdriver, thanks to which the brake pads will converge.
For machines manufactured in all years: remove the brake drum.
When assembling, adjust the play of the wheel bearing.
Press the brake pedal once firmly to ensure that the linings adhere to the drum.
