Rear drum brake, brake lining control (VW Transporter T3)

Check brake pads every 15,000 km and replace if necessary.

Remove the protective cap from the brake inspection hole.

Shine a flashlight into the hole.

(46-388) The thickness of new linings is 6.0 mm or 6.5 mm (oversized). The wear limit is reached at a lining thickness of 2.5 mm.
