Loosen the adjusting nut of the handbrake rod and release the brake using the handbrake lever in the cabin.
Center the brake pads.

(46 - 389) by twisting the installation gear - from behind through the casing - install the brake pads to diameter "a".
Measure the inner diameter of the brake drum, a = inner diameter of the drum minus 1.5 mm.
Example: the inner diameter of the brake drum is 252 mm - 1.5 mm, then a = 250.2 mm.

(46-390) Tighten the handbrake cable adjusting nut until there is no longer any gap between the brake lever and the pressure rod (arrow). For the handbrake cable adjusting nut, see "Adjusting the handbrake".
Attention! After adjusting the rear wheel brakes, a slightly increased travel of the hand and foot brake levers occurs, which is eliminated during operation of the vehicle by using the foot brake.
