Rear wheel brake — design description (VW Beetle)

Rear wheel brake: 1 - castle nut (350 Nm (35 kgfm). When loosening and tightening, the car must be on the ground. Use a new cotter pin to secure it; 2-60 Nm (6.0 kgfm); 3 - brake drum; 4 - brake cylinder; 5 - adjusting nut; 6 - adjusting bolt; 7 - swing axis; 8 - brake shoe; 9 - diagonal balance axis
