Removing
Install the brake pads to their original position.
Remove brake drum.
Using pliers, compress the pressure spring, turn the pin so that it can be removed.
Remove the brake pads manually, unhook the parking brake cable.
Installation
Drive the threads of the adjusting nuts and bolts, lightly lubricate them.
Attention! Brake pads are available in different thicknesses. The nominal thickness of the pads used in the described vehicles is 3.8-4.0 mm. If the brake drum has been bored, it is necessary to install pads of increased thickness (4.3-4.5 mm).
Attention! Brake pads are replaced, usually all on the same suspension (front or back). For safety reasons, only pads of the same type should be used.

When replacing the brake pads, secure the parking brake lever (see picture) new setting pin.
Install both brake pads with pressure bar, upper return spring and clip into the piston grooves. The double notch of the pressure plate must be directed towards the block. Connect the parking brake cable.
When installing the brake pads in the piston grooves, set the pistons to the correct position. The grooves must be directed upwards.
Using pliers, install the lower return spring. Install pressure spring with pin and plate. At the same time, hold the pin at the back, and install the spring plate with pliers.
Install the brake pads completely.
Clean and install the brake drum. Attention! If the wheel brake cylinder was removed, bleed the brake system (see section "Bleeding the brake system").
Adjust service and parking brakes.
