Pipeline connections are made in the form of conical couplings. The ends of the pipelines have a conical mating surface with threaded holes in the brake cylinders or in distribution elements made with a conical base. A union nut is installed in front of the cone on the pipeline, which, after tightening, presses the conical interface of the pipeline to the conical base of the hole and thereby ensures reliable sealing of the connection.
Pipeline replacement
The pipelines of the brake system must be checked every 7500 km.
First of all, it is necessary to monitor the appearance of traces of rust and mechanical damage, as well as dents from stone impacts.
Attention! Damaged brake pipes must be replaced in time, as they can burst during heavy braking.
Remove brake line (when installing a new pipeline, lay it in place of the old).
When connecting the pipeline, lubricate the conical mating surface with a few drops of brake fluid and tighten the union nuts to a torque of 15-20 Nm (1.5-2.0 kgcm).
Bleed the brake system (see below section "Bleeding the brake system").
Hose replacement
Remove wheel.
Loosen the nut and remove the hose bracket.
Disconnect the brake hose from the wheel brake cylinder.
Install new brake hose without twisting (tightening torque 15-20 Nm (1.5-2.0 kgcm)).
After installing the hose, check with an unloaded wheel (raise the car), whether the hose follows the movement of the wheel without rubbing against the surrounding parts.
Attention! Do not allow oil or gasoline to come into contact with brake hoses, do not coat them with varnish or underbody preservative.
