Raise the rear of the vehicle and place it on stands.
Slide forward the protective cap of the parking brake lever.
Loosen the cable locknut on the lever.
Tighten the lever by 4 teeth (in cars with chassis numbers from N 1 122 474 196 to 1 122961 362 - by 6 teeth).
Tighten the cable with the adjusting nuts on the compensating bracket so that the rear wheels can still be turned by hand. When tightening the nuts, hold the brake cable with a screwdriver.
Release the parking brake lever and check that both wheels turn freely by hand. Loosen cable if necessary.
Lock the adjusting nuts, install the parking brake guard, lower the vehicle.
