Raise the rear of the vehicle.
(46-400) Tighten the adjusting nut until there is no play in the entire handbrake system. Check for play by tightening the cable rods leading to the brakes.
Apply the handbrake lever several times.
Pull the lever 2-4 teeth. The rear wheels should not turn by hand.
Release the handle and check the free rotation of both wheels; if necessary, loosen the tension by adjusting the equalizing lever.
