The brake fluid reservoir is located in the reinforcement panel under the tool case. The case can be lifted up.
The reservoir has two chambers, one for each of the brake circuits.
The screw plug for the common filling hole has a ventilation bore that must not be plugged.
(B25-042) The tank is transparent, so the liquid level can be easily checked. This level should lie between the marks for the minimum and maximum.
When the front disc brakes are worn, a slight decrease in the brake fluid level is observed, this is normal.
If the liquid level drops strongly in a short time, then this indicates a loss of liquid.
The location of the leak must be found immediately. As a rule, the cause is a worn cuff in the wheel brake cylinder. For safety reasons, it is better to entrust such a check to the workshop.
(02-285) before filling the reservoir with brake fluid, put a rag on it and make sure that it does not drip onto the reinforcement panel. Failure to do so may result in damage.
