Remove the adjusting wedge return spring.
Remove the brake pads from the lower support and the piston of the wheel brake cylinder.
Remove the handbrake cable.
Remove the tension springs from the top and bottom.
Remove the adjusting wedge from the pressure rod.
Remove the support spring at the top from the pressure rod. If necessary, clamp the rod in a vice.
When assembling, clamp the pressure rod in a vice.
Install the support spring in the pressure rod and at the brake shoes. The correct installation of the spring is shown in the illustration.
Bent end (see arrow) the support spring (2) must point inwards when it is correctly inserted into the pressure rod (1)
Install the brake shoe near the rod. Insert the adjusting wedge from above. Its projection should be directed towards the shoe.
Insert the brake lever of the second brake shoe into the recess of the pressure rod.
Install the upper return spring.
Secure the handbrake cable to the brake lever.
