Removal
Remove the support bracket, Passat.
Remove the support bracket, Eos.
Carefully secure the support bracket in a vice with protective jaws.

Unscrew clutch pedal 1 from support bracket 3, for which unscrew nut 2 and remove screw 5 (Fig. 3.14).
Move the clutch pedal forward slightly and remove the servo spring 4 from the support bracket.
Using a collet, remove the clutch pedal retainer from the master cylinder.

Remove the clutch pedal (Fig. 3.15).
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order, taking into account the following.

Install fastening 2 on drive rod 1 of the master cylinder (Fig. 3.16).
Press the fastener into the groove on the clutch pedal 3 until you hear a click.

Place servo spring 2 on top of the support bracket, while holding the end of the spring in the mounting position using the mounting tool (Fig. 3.17).
Insert the clutch pedal shaft journal 1 into the servo spring tray.
Press the clutch pedal slightly, insert the screw and tighten the self-locking nut.
Install the support bracket.
Tightening torques
Clutch pedal on support bracket (replacing a self-locking nut) – 25 Nm.
