The stator windings are connected in a star. The rotor consists of an excitation winding, two contact rings are pressed onto the rotor shaft. The generator is cooled through the holes in the covers by a fan mounted on the drive pulley. The generator is driven by a V-belt.
Voltage regulator type EL 14V 4C. Regulation voltage at output current not exceeding 10 A, V: 13.7-14.5.
Generator drive belt
Brand and type:
- cars with petrol engines: Continental 9.5x950 La;
- cars with diesel engines: Continental 9.5x965 La.
Normal belt deflection when pressing with the thumb on the middle of the long branch, mm:
- new belt: 2;
- worn-in belt: 5.
Note: Some vehicles are equipped with Valeo brand alternators.
