Removal
Caution: Before starting work, read the safety precautions regarding handling airbags.
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal first, then the positive (+) battery terminal to avoid possible airbag deployment. Wrap the negative battery terminal with insulating tape.
2. Remove the trunk trim panel.
3. Open the tailgate, release the rear trim from the ceiling, releasing it from the clips and from under the rubber seal.
4. Remove cover 1 with the inscription "Airbag" from the trim and unscrew screw 2 (see illustration).

Attention! When removed, cover 1 with the inscription "Airbag" is damaged and must be replaced with a new one.
5. Unscrew the upper nut 3 and remove the lining from the threaded pin by pushing it down in the direction of arrow A (see illustration 18.4).
6. Release the trim from the clips on the rear pillar (see arrow B in illustration 18.4).
7. Release the trim from the side door and tailgate seals.
8. Feed the facing upwards (see arrow c in illustration 18.4), to release its lower side from the mount.
Installation
9. Make sure that the trim fasteners are not damaged and are installed correctly. If necessary, renew the fasteners.
Installation of the pillar ceiling trim is performed in the reverse order of removal.
When doing this, make sure that the trim fits tightly under the seal of the side and rear doors.
10. Screw in screw 2 with a tightening torque of 4 Nm (see illustration 18.4).
