Upper part of the cladding
Removal
Caution: Before starting work, read the safety precautions regarding handling airbags.
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal first, then the positive (+) battery terminal to avoid possible airbag deployment. Wrap the negative battery terminal with insulating tape.
2. Remove cover 1 with the inscription "Airbag" from the trim and unscrew screw 2 (see illustration).

Attention! When removed, cover 1 with the inscription "Airbag" is damaged and must be replaced with a new one.
3. Release the lower side of the trim from the fasteners on the central pillar (see arrow A in Illustration 17.2).
4. Release the trim from under the door seal.

5. Release the trim from the upper fastening (see arrow B in Illustration 17.2).
6. Four-door cars.
Remove the lower part of the center pillar trim.
7. Four-door cars.
Remove the clip from the seat belt.
8. Two-door vehicles: Remove the rear seat and door sill trim.
9. Two-door vehicles: Remove the seat belt guide bracket.
10 Remove the seat belt webbing through the hole in button 3, which is used to change the height of the belt, and remove the upper part of the cover from the central pillar (see illustration 17.2).
Installation
11. Make sure that the trim fasteners are not damaged and are installed correctly. If necessary, renew the fasteners.
The installation of the pillar trim is performed in the reverse order of removal. In this case, make sure that the trim fits tightly under the door seal, and that key 3 is correctly positioned in the grip 4 (see illustration 17.2)
12. Screw in screw 2 with a tightening torque of 4 Nm (see illustration 17.2).
13. Check the operation of the seat belt height adjustment button.
Lower part of the center pillar trim
Removal
14. Remove the upper part of the center pillar trim
Note: There is no need to remove the seat belt fastening bracket.
15. Unscrew the two lower screws 1 and release the trim from under the door seal (see illustration).

16. Remove the trim from the central pillar by releasing the protrusion 2 from the fastening (see illustration 17.15).
17. Cars with security alarm. Switch off the ignition, remove the key from the lock and disconnect the interior security sensor plug located under the trim.
The pillar trim is installed in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that the trim fits tightly under the door seal.
18. Screw in screws 1 with a tightening torque of 4 Nm (see illustration 17.15).
