Removal
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Disconnect the trunk trim at the joints with the trim.
3. Remove the rear seat.
4. Four-door vehicles: Remove the rear seat armrests.
5. Two-door vehicles: Remove the rear seat back.
6. Two-door vehicles: Remove the rear pillar upper trim.
Note: There is no need to remove the seat belt fastening bracket.
7. Two-door vehicles: Remove the rear side trim.
8. Unscrew screws 1 and 2 and release shelf 3 from its fasteners (see illustration).

9. Disconnect the plugs. Their number depends on the vehicle configuration.
Installation
10. Make sure that the shelf fasteners are not damaged and are seated correctly on the shelf. If necessary, replace damaged fasteners with new ones.
The shelf is installed in the reverse order of removal.
