Removal
Caution: Before starting work, read the safety precautions regarding handling airbags.
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal first, then the positive (+) battery terminal to avoid possible airbag deployment. Wrap the negative battery terminal with insulating tape.
2. Remove cover 1 with the inscription "Airbag" from the trim and unscrew screw 2 (see illustration).

Attention! When removed, cover 1 with the inscription "Airbag" is damaged and must be replaced with a new one.
3. Insert a plastic wedge under the trim and remove the trim retaining clips 3 from the fasteners on the front pillar (see illustration 26.2). Insert the wedge under the facing from the back side.
Installation
4. Make sure that the trim fasteners are not damaged and are seated correctly on the trim. If necessary, replace damaged fasteners with new ones.
The pillar trim is installed in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that the trim goes under the door seal.
Middle part of the cladding
Removal
5. Remove the middle part of the trim 2 from the front pillar, releasing the fasteners 1 from the holes (see illustration).
Installation
6. Make sure that the trim fasteners are not damaged and are seated correctly on the trim. If necessary, replace damaged fasteners with new ones.
The pillar trim is installed in the reverse order of removal. Then make sure that the trim goes under the door seal.
