Removal
1. Open the rear hatch.
2. Pull the crossmember cover down and release it from the fasteners on the crossmember.
At the same time, release the trim from under the tailgate seal.
Installation
3. Make sure that the pad retainers are not damaged and are seated correctly on the pad.
If necessary, replace damaged fasteners with new ones.
The installation of the overlay is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Make sure the trim fits under the tailgate seal.
