Warning: When installing new parts, be sure to match the pressure plate and clutch disc with the engine letter index and engine number in the spare parts catalog.

Execution order

1. When installing a new clutch disc or pressure plate, remove the anti-corrosion protection from them.

2. When installing the clutch disc, make sure that no oil gets on its friction linings, even in small quantities. Therefore, before installing the clutch disc, wipe the mating surface of the flywheel and the surface of the pressure plate with a clean rag, and install the clutch disc with clean hands.

3. Lubricate the splines in the clutch disc hub with a thin layer of special molybdenum disulfide-based grease.

4. Install the clutch disc on the flywheel with the spring carrier facing the pressure plate. If the flywheel has double the mass, the springs do not have carriers. In this case, install the clutch so that the clutch lining fits against the flywheel. The clutch disc hub should not fit against the flywheel.

5. Install the clutch master disc onto the disc, while simultaneously installing it onto the guide pins. When reinstalling a previously removed clutch master disc, check that the marks made before removal are aligned.

6. Tighten the clutch master disc mounting bolts so that the clutch disc is pressed down but can still move sideways.

7. Using a special mandrel or an old gearbox primary shaft, center the clutch disc relative to the flywheel (see figure Using tools when removing and installing the clutch disc).

8. The clutch disc can be centered in relation to the clutch driving part before installing the clutch driving part using special mandrel 2174.

9. After centering the clutch disc, gradually tighten the clutch drive bolts in a diagonal sequence to 25 Nm.

10. Models with a double mass flywheel use Allen head bolts with a tightening torque of 13 Nm.

11. Remove the mandrel from the clutch disc.

12. Lubricate the splined portion of the gearbox input shaft and the release bearing guide sleeve with a thin layer of special molybdenum disulfide-based grease.

13. Install the gearbox.
