Accelerator cable for cars with gasoline engines

Warning: The accelerator cable is very sensitive to bending, so care must be taken when installing the cable. Even one small bend in the cable can lead to subsequent breakage during operation. Accelerator cables with bends are not recommended for installation on the vehicle.
Press the accelerator pedal all the way down and hold it in this position, or have an assistant hold the pedal in this position.
Check if the throttle lever is touching the full load limiter. If not, adjust the accelerator cable.
Execution order
1. Remove the retaining clip (indicated by the arrow), fastening the accelerator cable sheath to the bracket.
2. Move the accelerator cable housing on the bracket until the throttle lever touches the maximum load limiter. In this position of the accelerator cable, secure the cable housing with the locking bracket.
Models with automatic transmission
3. Slowly press the accelerator pedal. When the accelerator pedal approaches the stop, the forced downshift switch should operate.

4. Disconnect the two-pin electrical connector from the "kick-down" switch located at the front of the engine compartment.
5. Connect an ohmmeter to the kick-down switch contacts and measure the resistance, which should be equal to infinity.
6. Slowly press the accelerator pedal. As the accelerator pedal approaches the stop, the resistance on the kick-down switch contacts should suddenly decrease to zero.
7. Otherwise, readjust the gas pedal cable or replace the defective forced downshift switch.
