Remote fuel pump testing (VW Golf 4)

• 1 - pressure sensor;
• 2 - clamping contact;
• 3 - additional wire with 8 A fuse;
• 4 - flat contact of the electrical connector;
• 5 - two-wire cable

Remote testing is required if the electrically driven fuel pump is to operate without the engine running.

The following items are required for remote verification:

• pressure sensor;
• clamp contact (crocodile);
• 8A fuse wire;
• flat electrical contact;
• two-core cable with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² and a length of about 5 m.

Execution order

1. Remove fuse #28 for the fuel pump in the fuse box.

2. Connect the remote test flat lead to the fuse terminals in the fuse box.

3. When the remote control pressure sensor is activated, the fuel pump should start to operate.
