Execution order
1. Clean the sealing ring mating surface.
2. Install the thermostat. On 1.8-I petrol and diesel engines, install the thermostat and turn it 90° clockwise. The thermostat must be installed so that the air bleed channel is facing upwards.
3. Lubricate the new O-ring with fresh coolant and install it in place.
4. Install the connecting pipe and screw it with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 15 Nm.
5. Fill the cooling system with coolant.

6. Install the air conditioning compressor and tighten the compressor mounting bolts to 45 Nm. Install the poly V-belt.
