Distribution of high voltage to individual spark plugs is accomplished by electronic ignition system elements, which replace the conventional mechanically operating ignition distributor with ignition distributor rotor.
ENGINES UP TO 125 PS
The ignition system has one ignition coil for two spark plugs. Two ignition coils are installed in one housing in the cylinder head. On the 1.8-I/125 PS engine and the 1.6-I engine, the ignition control unit is installed in the ignition coil housing.
1.8-I-TURBO ENGINE
Four ignition coils are mounted directly on the spark plugs.
ENGINE 2.3-I
Five ignition coils are located together in the cylinder head, the ignition control unit is located on the bulkhead of the engine compartment.
