Fuel line and nozzles of the engine 1.8-I
- 1 - fuel line;
- 2 - spring clip;
- 3 - sealing ring. If damaged, a new O-ring must be used. Before installing, lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil;
- 4 - fuel pressure regulator;
- 5 - vacuum hose;
- 6 - bolt, 10 Nm;
- 7 - connection to the return fuel line;
- 8 - connection to the fuel supply line;
- 9 - bracket;
- 10 - fuel injector
Removing
1. Disconnect the vacuum hose and switch valve electrical connectors in the intake manifold. Remove the tips from the spark plugs.
2. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the top of the intake manifold (mounting bolts are indicated by arrows).
3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator.
4. Unscrew the fuel supply hose from the fuel line (the place of their connection is shown by an arrow), while picking up spilled fuel with a rag.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors.
6. Remove the fuel line mounting bolts (indicated by arrows) and remove the fuel line along with the injectors from the intake manifold.
7. Remove the retaining clips securing the injectors to the fuel line and remove the fuel injectors. Mark the location of the nozzles so that they can be installed in their places.
Installation
1. Replace O-rings on fuel injectors.
2. Lubricate the fuel injector O-rings with clean engine oil.
3. Install the injectors into the fuel line and secure with spring clips.
4. Install the fuel line with injectors on the intake manifold and press it down.
5. Fix the fuel line with bolts, tightening them with a torque of 10 Nm.
6. Connect the electrical connectors to the fuel injectors.
7. Connect the fuel supply hose to the fuel line.
8. Install and secure the intake manifold top with a new gasket.
9. Connect the vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator.
10. Connect the vacuum hose and electrical connectors for the intake manifold changeover valve.
11. Install the high voltage wire ends to the spark plugs.
