Starter (VW Golf 3)

The Golf model is equipped with a Bosch starter, matched to the engine power.

To check the starter operation at maximum battery voltage, connect terminals "30" (big terminal) and "50" (plug protrusion to the right of the large terminal) with a cable whose cross-section is not less than 4 sq. mm.

If the starter works perfectly under these conditions, check the wires that feed the starter. If the starter does not cope, it should be dismantled and checked.

Quality control of the starter on the test bench should be carried out in an electrical workshop.
