Dismantling and installation of a servomotor for adjusting the lighting range (VW Golf 3)

The servomotor for adjusting the range of illumination can only be replaced with the headlight housing removed. After replacing the servomotor, it is necessary to carefully adjust the headlights. This can only be done with a headlight adjustment device, i.e. in a workshop.

Removing the headlight servomotor is quite simple: the motor located on the left is removed by turning it in the direction indicated by the arrow, if it is the right motor, or to the right, if it is the left motor.

When installing the motor, place its shaft into the ball head guide on the reflector. Hold the reflector through the headlight bulb hole so that the shaft engages. Secure the motor by turning it in the opposite direction.
