1. The external mirror shown in photo 11.19 is the simplest design, installed in all basic versions.

2. The rear view mirror is controlled manually from inside the car (was used until August 1987.) shown in Fig. 11.5.

Replacing a mirror
1. Remove control lever 5 and the inner door trim.
2. Unscrew nut 4 of the control lever.
3. Lift and remove mirror cover 6.
4. Loosen the fastening screws. Remove the mirror together with the control mechanism.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of dismantling.
The external rearview mirror, manually controlled, has a modified design since 8.87. It is attached to the corner of the glass frame from the door. The mirror is attached to the housing with latches. A similar design has a mirror with electrical control, with the difference that manual control is replaced by an electric drive.
